The Last Day of 2006

Today is the last day of 2006 and I decided to start this blog as a way to track my thoughts and feelings about losing weight and being healthy in 2007. I am sick of boring my friends and family with my incessant talk of food and exercise, so I will add my ramblings to the rest of the egotistical blogs that are over-crowding cyberspace.

Firstly, a perfunctory introduction... My name is Tully, I am 26, I live in Australia. This is my first and only blog and I am hideously bad at computers and technology, so please bear with me! There is a bit more to me then that, but I don't want to ruin the mystery this early on!

I will do my first weigh-in tomorrow morning and I am not expecting it to be pretty. I have been on a liquid diet for 4 weeks prior to Christmas and I lost 8 kilo's. Then I spent the last 10 days eating food like it was going out of fashion. One thing I have learnt is that:
  • liquid diet + binging= massive weight gain

I am not sure if you would say that I am starting this whole weight loss blog off on the wrong foot by eating Ferrero Rocher's while I type this, but New Years Eve is hardly the time for dieting. Plus, every dieter knows that you need to eat all the chocolate in the house the day before you start a diet! ;-) I am not going to beat myself up about any weight gains that I have over Christmas because I fully planned to have a 'dieting break' and get myself revitalised for 2007.

Happy New Year and good luck to everyone else starting diets tomorrow!
